The fine print

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 6, 2026. The short version: send us work you made, or nominate work you love that someone else made. We only post a fan nomination once the people who made it say yes. We decide what goes up, and we can take it down. You keep your rights; we just get to show your work off. Be decent. If something here is yours and shouldn't be, email takedowns@dontskipintro.com and it comes down. The long version is below. It's still shorter than most end credits.

Who we are

Dont Skip Intro ("we", "us", "the Committee") runs dontskipintro.com (the "Site"), a curated showcase of motion design for film, television, trailers and campaigns. The Site is run by the owner of dontskipintro.com, an individual based in Colorado. It's a non-commercial labor of love: no ads, no fees, no sponsored placements, and we don't sell anyone's information. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 to create an account or submit work. If you're submitting on behalf of a studio or company, you confirm you're authorized to accept these Terms for them.

Your account

You sign in with a link or code sent to your email. There are no passwords, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account. Making extra accounts to get around the submission limit will get all of them closed.

Submitting work

There are two ways to send us something.

If you made it or worked on it, submit it as your own. You confirm you made or meaningfully contributed to it and that you're allowed to share it. Most title sequences are owned by the studio, network or client that paid for them, so getting permission is your job, not ours.

If someone else made it, you can nominate it as a fan. Tell us the studio and the show or film it's for. If the Committee approves it, we contact the people who made it and ask for the final file, the full credits and their permission to post it. A fan nomination is only published once they say yes, using the file and credits they send us. If they say no or don't reply, it isn't posted, and the copy you sent is seen only by the Committee. If it goes up, you're credited for spotting it.

Either way, you confirm that the credits you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you aren't passing off anyone else's work as your own, that you aren't aware of any reason it can't be shared (an embargo, an unreleased project, a client who has said no), and that it was made by people. Work generated primarily by AI isn't eligible. If a machine made it, you're on the wrong site.

One submission per account every 24 hours, five minutes maximum, review uploads up to 100 MB. If you share a link instead, keep it working until we've reviewed it. If your piece is approved, you have 14 days to upload the full-resolution master, or the approval may lapse.

The Committee decides

Every submission is watched by a person. Whether to approve, publish, feature or keep anything on the Site is entirely up to the Committee. We aren't obliged to publish anything, keep it up, or explain ourselves beyond the reason we give. Decisions are final. You're welcome to argue with us. It won't work. Staff picks, write-ups and scores are opinions, and are presented as such.

What you keep, and what you give us

You (or the rightsholder) keep ownership of your work. We don't claim it.

By submitting your own work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transcode, stream and display the work and its credits, and to make thumbnails and stills from it, on the Site and in promoting the Site (for example, a social post linking back to its page). The license lasts as long as the work is on the Site, plus a reasonable period afterwards while backups cycle out. Review copies, including fan nominations, are seen only by the Committee unless the piece is published.

You can ask us to remove your published work at any time by emailing thecommittee@dontskipintro.com, and we'll do it within a reasonable time.

Takedowns and copyright

We respect copyright, and we'd rather take something down than argue about it.

If you own work that appears on the Site (or represent someone who does) and you didn't authorize it, email takedowns@dontskipintro.com with: the work you believe is being infringed; the address of the page where it appears; your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature. We'll remove the work promptly.

If your work was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Identify the removed work and where it appeared, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, give your contact details, consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your area, and sign it. We may restore the work 10 to 14 business days later unless the person who complained tells us they've filed a lawsuit.

We close the accounts of repeat infringers. Signed-in visitors can also report a piece with the Report button. Reported pieces are hidden right away while the Committee takes another look.

Don't be that person

Don't take credit for someone else's work. Don't submit a fan nomination as your own to skip the permission step. Don't submit anything you know you're not allowed to share. Don't upload anything illegal, malicious or harmful, or anything that exploits anyone. Don't harass, threaten or impersonate the Committee, other users or the people credited on the Site. Don't scrape the Site, overload it, probe its security, or try to get into the Committee area. Don't abuse the Report button or try to get around the submission limits. We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice.

Other people's services

The Site relies on outside providers for hosting, sign-in, email and video streaming, and it links to other websites. We're not responsible for those sites or services, or for what they do under their own terms.

Privacy

We collect as little as we can and we don't sell any of it. The details are in our Privacy Policy at dontskipintro.com/privacy.

Our stuff

The Site's design, text, write-ups, name and logo belong to us. Featured work belongs to its owners. Don't copy either wholesale.

No promises

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee it will always be up, error-free or secure, or that anything you upload will be kept. Keep your own copies. We're a showcase, not your backup drive.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, work or opportunities arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to US $100. The Site is free, so that seems more than fair.

If someone sues us over your submission

You agree to defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from work you submit, or from your breach of these Terms.

Ending things

You can stop using the Site whenever you like. To delete your account, email thecommittee@dontskipintro.com. We can suspend or end your access at any time, for any reason. The parts of these Terms that by their nature should survive (your license to us while your work is up, takedowns, liability, indemnity and the law that applies) survive.

Changes

We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll post a notice on the Site if the change is significant. If you keep using the Site after that, you accept the new Terms.

The law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
